  This notification was plastered on Boston Shinkendo Facebook page by some dumbass. It  states that they will be conducting tests on December 6th an (note the misspelling), 13th. The question we have is with almost all of the actual real students having dumped the Boston Shinkendo dojo, exactly who is going to be be reaching out? Is this guy in fantasy land? Or is he assuming that the small remaining amount of students and any uninformed new students will actually be testing?  What a sad sad story the Saga of Boston Shinkendo is. "Shafty, you really do stink"  according to former students.

  Well Toshishiro Obata gave it a good shot! In 30 years he was able to create and market a martial art he founded that was made up of techniques, and kata taken from Toyama Rya and other REAL Koryu styles like Shinkage Ryu. Shinkendo dojos are world wide, appealing predominantly to fat old white dudes with no real skills or martial ability, but love to dress up as wannabe samurai and post nonsense on Facebook.  ...You know the type. However Dojos are closing fast, places like modern Samurai dojo in NY, shut down, Boston Shinkendo all the students dumped the ahole sensei, and membership and dues are said to be down all around the world. Of course they try to blame covid, but is it something more than that? Is it the fact that people want to learn a REAL SAMURAI art and not some adapted crap? Is it becuase of stories of Horror Show treatment of students as what is reported about Boston? Is it about International Shinkendo Leadership not helping students who reach out to them with issues

  If you have been following all the nonsense at the International Shinkendo Federation Dojo in Boston, then you know the stories how lame a lot of former students feel it is. The vast majority of the long term students all quit because they feel it sucks! Recently a newer student also left in disgust and was asked by the instructor, aka "SHAFTY" to do an exit interview. An exit interview for a martial arts dojo? Is this guy a moron? Who does exit interviews for a Dojo? Most people don't even want to do them for a job where they worked for years. The mere fact that this idiot even made such a request goes to show how strange that place is run. What does he expect the students to say? Does he think they are going to help him do better? From what was reported to use, they can't stand the guy, they could care less about his crappy dojo getting better!  They just wanted to get as far away from the guy as possible! Ok Shafty, here some of the feedback they shared with us:

  Well it appears there will be a light at that end of the tunnel for prospective students of Japanese swords arts in Boston, with upcoming New England Museum of Martial arts and Budokai. The NEMABU association is actively seeking a location for their post pandemic museum and dojo to be operational in early 2021. NEMABU is slated to be a full blown museum showcasing martial arts arms and armaments from Japan, China, Korea, and South East Asia, with a strong focus on Japanese Samurai culture, history and the crafts work involved with forging swords and armor. Visitors will get to see both antique weapons, as well as modern versions, with interactive video experiences, and scheduled workshops and demonstrations. How Japanese swords are forged, tested, as well as demonstrations from Chinese Kung fu masters. The associated dojo will be in the connected room, and the plan is for regular training schedules in several Japanese Koryu arts, including sword, hand to hand, archery, and long weapo

  By now there has been so much chatter and so much reporting on what many see as utter shamefulness, stupidity, and nonsense at this ISF licensed dojo, that most people reading this article probably won't be surprised to learn that almost all of his former students gave little shafty the finger when he made a roundabout plea to them via txt msg and private calls. Boston Shinkendo Students hold annual Summer party but ditch the lame Sensei! It was reported to be a FULL HOUSE of current and former Boston Shinkendo students who attended their annual summer barbecue this year. The party is usually a festive one with good food, and special activities, last year we are told it was a blacksmithing event, this year was a full on Tameshigiri party. Conspicuously absent from the party was Shaffee aka "Little Shafty" and this was by design.  This sensei is so despised and disliked by current and former Boston Shinkendo students that they all voted to DITCH him and not send an invite to him or his kids. The feedback was that the party was the 'best ever" some of the comments reported to us were: "Our Tameshigiri cuts were spot on since we self trained and dump all that crap Shafty tried to teach." So it looks like the Shinkendo Shit-for-brains Sensei in Boston just doesn't get it. Hey Shafty, don't you get it? Your students didn't join a cult, they just wanted to learn the crappy style of Shinkendo, they didn't sign up to follow your commands or have you sticking your nose in their personal lives. So who are you down to? The BringIT Bufoon? You got "Yelpster" kissing your ass until his real dojo opens back up, you got a couple of young newbies who hate you, an 70 year old woman and Dr J.  I bet many in the ISF secretly think your a dumbass, your kids probably loathe you.
